I’m not aware of anyone going down that route but given that a compatible Hornby PSU is under £60 I can’t see what benefit would be gained, except maybe in a garden layout.
As for your last but one sentence - dangerous ground. :D

They should be a standard height from the rails but as to their relationship with the buffer, well that is a moveable feast. Confused by this. The Peco website states Setrack N Gauge is code 80, Streamline N Gauge is also code 80 according to the Peco website. What have I missed? I have a lot of photos! Google cloud would be a fraction under £240 pa for the capacity I would need. I will invest in a few more SSDs as the year progresses. And to think I could have used the winter fuel allowance. :?
