Re: WEST ORTON

I had some figures in stock from their Patreon scheme that were suitable. Yes they do a few bespoke crews, some even come precoloured (not painted) produced by a 3D process called sintering - it uses powder rather than resin.

Re: Wykeham - Somewhere in the south!

There are quite a few photos online that appear to have been taken in the 60's showing yellow axle boxes.

Re: WEST ORTON

I temporarily evicted the family of penguins that found the temperature in the shed to their liking to have a fiddle with a troublesome loco. I bought a secondhand Royal Scot earlier in the year but last week it wouldn't run more than a couple of inches before the valvegear started binding. I found ...

Re: WEST ORTON

An unintended purchase (damn you Hornby with your special offers!😉) Thompson L1 in BR black. It's been sitting on the bench for a few days due to a rather nasty bout of flu which seems to have triggered more than the usual level of aches and pains. Re: WEST ORTON

I didn't drain either the Black 5 or FS from a couple of weeks ago. FS steamed well as soon as it connected. Can't say the same for the Black 5.
I'm hoping to get some feedback from our test group or it will be going back to Margate for investigation.

Re: WEST ORTON

Time for a moan. I'm building a camera wagon for a driver's eye view. Had some issues with the first mini camera ordered as the Chinese manufacturer failed to disclose the requirement to sign up to a monthly subscription to make it work! Still arguing the toss with PayPal for that refund. Sourced an...
