00 Class 52
I have an 00 gauge class 52, bought in 2007. I want to put a sound decoder in the loco. Has anyone else converted one of these locos to sound, and if so what encoder did you use please ? Currently an 8 pin socket, with head and tail lights able to be switched on. Thanks Mervyn Stokes

Re: Accurascale Manor
Understand your point but Dapol Manor weighs 305g, Accurascale 345g. Really confirms my impression that the accurascale is quite a heavy loco. Thanks for your reply.

Accurascale Manor
Recently received Accurascale model of Torquay Manor. Excellent model, but seems to be very prone to wheel slip on track that I don't have problems with other locos. Even the Dapol version runs well. Anyone else found similar ?

Jerky running of Bachmann locos
Can anyone offer any advice on the jerky running of Bachmann locos on DCC. Principally 'Halls', but my 9F can seem jerky at times. I have removed the suppressor capacitors from all of the locos.

Re: Modelmaster - Jackson Evans
Waiting since the 20th March for an order to be fulfilled and running out of patience. He should stop taking orders, and people's money until he reduces the backlog to an acceptable level. Tried to be patient, but really fed up with the service.

Modelrail 16xx - Rapido Trains
Recently received this model, and after running it in on 12volt DC, I found the motor to be very 'squeaky' at low speed after the DCC decoder was fitted. Loksound V5 Micro. Contacted Kernow MRC, who are supplying the models, and sent the loco back to them (obviously without the decoder !!. They supp...

Re: Hornby Unrebuilt West Country 'Wilton'
Thanks for the link, the photos, combined with the make of the decoder were very useful as a guide to what will fit into the loco.

Hornby Unrebuilt West Country 'Wilton'
I have a Hornby model of an unrebuillt West Country Pacific, 'Wilton'. It's a really good runner, and I want to put a sound decoder in the loco. Has anyone else put a sound decoder in this or similar Hornby loco ? If so what decoder did you use please ? From the measurements I have taken, I think th...
