Can't believe that it's so long since I posted here. I haven't lost interest and I have been working on things, but my attention has been thinly spread over several areas, including planning of my next project! I know, I know, I ought to finish Project 1 before even thinking about Project 2... Anywa...

Please excuse my ignorance here but I notice that the question is about how much power the little connectors can handle.
Thinking about the cable itself though, if using Sub D connectors, or DIN come to that, do you use an 'off-the-shelf' cable or do those not have enough current carrying capability?

I'm obviously keen to avoid major pitfalls so I'll be careful.
I also want to avoid minor pitfalls too as putting things down as a "learning experience" could wear a bit thin in the end...
