Tri-ang Blue Pullman
I have been given a box of trains and carriages. One of them is the Tri-ang blue pullman. The first version. However it's missing the drive wheels and also the middle carriage. There's also a hole in one of the windows. Is this something maybe worth restoring? Is there upgrades that can be done to i...

Re: My first layout
Thanks all. I only have the one controller so I'm not sure I can run more than one train at a time can I? It's analogue rather than DCC too. Not sure if I can convert the loco's I have to DCC easily either. My loco list now consists of an original 1990's Charterhouse, 1977 LMS 4657, Cadbury Castle, ...

My first layout
Well after some work and money that I hadn't budgeted for I have the basics. I've hidden the power cables under the track. Until I find a permanent home for it I'm not sure it will get much more than some colour and ballast though  Haven't got a name for it yet though. https://i.postimg.cc/5XK...

Re: 'Hola' from the sunny Pyrenees
Welcome. It's a nice place here. I've already left my shoes by the door and got my own slippers. You'll fit in well I think.

My first layout a few questions I have
I've set up my first layout and come across a few issues. The board I bought aren't perfectly flat (or straight - Thanks Wickes) So I need to fill some gaps I think. Will just normal wood filler be OK? There is a little step on the joins too so am I safe to assume that if I cork the rails before fix...

Re: Hello from the Vale of Glamorgan
I'm really looking forward to it. Reading through the forum it looks a nice friendly place. Some of the forums I've used before (mostly cycling) seem to be very cliquey which is fine when you're in the clique but awful on the outside. I've ordered some extra track from Hattons today. Hoping it arriv...

Re: Hello from the Vale of Glamorgan
Thanks for all the replies. Some great information there. I've gone back on Anyrail and am now fiddling with the layout to get rid of that curved point
I had absolutely no idea about the track heights I wondered what the different code numbers were for.

Hello from the Vale of Glamorgan
Hi. Like the other posts in this part of the forum I'm new here. Also like a lot of people I've gotten into model railways by inheriting some trains. It has literally just been inheriting the trains no track. I'm 42 now and my Grandad had a very basic model railway when I was about 8 or 9. I used to...
