Re: Can anyone help me please
I think you are only thinking of modern railways, you should note I used the word ERA in my post, it means the time frame in which the model is set. I refer you to Wiki if you have no historical knowledge regarding facing points. How sweet that you should apparently gang up on the imposter lols Perh...

Re: Can anyone help me please
I don't know what era this is or how close you want to be to the prototype but all those facing points on the mainline are an accident waiting to happen!

Re: A toe in the water (OO steam DC)
**********************Happy new year everybody ***************** An update for 2023 so far, not much in the way of construction except working semaphores for platform starters, inner & outer homes. Good running session earlier this evening that culminated with 5 loco's in steam! One in the shed ...

Re: A toe in the water (OO steam DC)
Thank you for your kind comments everybody :) I have managed to move a tiny smidgen further along by refitting the layout lighting along the back of the main station boards, of course I should have done this before I re-assembled the layout as the rear of the boards are hard up against the wall so I...

Re: We're back- thank goodness
Phew, thank goodness your back. I may not have much time for hands on modelling ATM but I really enjoy browsing this site in odd moments and I was horrified when it apparently disappeared :o Fortunately I kept the bookmark and kept trying and tonight I found you all again :) As many have said I much...

Re: A toe in the water (OO steam DC)
A goodly portion of a year has gone by and the layout has moved from Norfolk to Lincolnshire! The new house is in such a state (some emergency plumbing done already and a full rewire next week) that although it has been bolted together in it's new location that's as far as it's likely to get for qui...

Re: Stay alive/keep alive for DC
I tried this years ago in N gauge steam, tanks! very small space available so used 47uF non-polarised surface mount times four, this is my report at the time :- COMPARING two 060 tanks one fitted with 4x47uF across motor and other not whatever difference there is is not immediately obvious so more d...

Re: New to N gauge. Help!
Hello, your 1st port of call should be whoever sold it to you, is it new or s/h ? You don't say if it is DC or DCC, if you could identify the loco & controller (with model numbers) it might help. You say "the motor in the loco runs" is that by some noise or by observation of the motor ...
