Re: Bachmann Spares
wtd ref your latest "that's what we have been saying" It has taken 9 replies and 1000 views to finally get confirmation that generally Bachmann spares can only be obtained from Bachmann. I did not know this and thought it was a point worth airing to the myriad of followers - who will be wa...

Re: Bachmann Spares
Thanks for the info. chaps.
No I had not tried Bachmann direct but will do so.
I now assume that general spares for locomotive parts are not available to dealers and agents as Hornby are.
There is always something to learn.

Bachmann Spares
Having been an OO enthusiast and operator for 50+ years I am dumbfounded to find that I can't see anywhere Bachmann generally suppling spare motor parts to the trade. I am seeking confirmation, or otherwise, from our members, this is correct. Specifically I am looking for a motor for 32-003 Kinlet H...

Re: Royal Mail
How about this one:-
In the 1940's my uncle played football for England amateurs, and incidentally for Sutton Utd.
England went on tour to Canada.
A fan wrote a letter to "Charlie, king of the amateurs" that's all - he got it, with pride. Memory is a great asset.

Re: 3205 GWR Mainline Collett
Hello folks, I am back, and thanks for your responses. Having pondered a little further, I looked up on Youtube that chap who did a Mainline service video. What I had forgotten was that the side cover to the commutator had to come off to clean the armature and inner housing. For those of you who can...

3205 GWR Mainline Collett
I bought this some 15+ years ago and it has been running perfectly ever since, until this week when it will not move. Have stripped it down to the two half chassis from the body and found nothing untoward - I must say for the first time in the above period. Linkage is ok, brushes c2mm and appear in ...

Re: Keeping it clean
I agree with the consensus of opinion here if the loco(s) stop at the same place each time. It's track. Don't know anything about DCC but I had the same problem with a 4-6-0 Ringfield on DC, no prob. with another 10 locos and visually the track was good but a spirit level proved different and track ...

Re: Just joined
Surprised and delighted to be back, and amongst the first few too it would seem. Have to learn the ropes again.
