Its the Heljan 35 bar the improvements that the Heljan 35 now has - presumably a production run that Heljan otherwise would have halted given the decision to fit LEDs and a 21 pin decoder socket.

Nothing to do with Hornby - no doubt put together in the "cutting room" application that BBC Studios uses.

With the amount of locos awaited from previous years do we really need announcement of more. What woild be good although I very much doubt it is full availaibility of spare parts right down to individual parts of a body aka Heljan

No one does a 04 to modern standard yet; one has been announced by Rapido. I used the dcc ready Bachmann 03 chassis on mine which did need the wheel centres tweaking with milliput and etched balance weights alomng with body fixing arrangments tweaked. It was when I decided to replace the handrails I...

The issue with Hornby (and Peco Setrack - older ones if not current?) curved point is that at one location the track gauge narrrows slightly.

Not to worry one day he will grow up - all my new acquisitions get a hours running in round a Kato Unitrak oval laid on a wooden floor which afterwards can be inspected / swept for anything that may have fallen off. The hours running in being 15 minutes in each direction, then the loco turned round ...
