The E5000 had the same power rating as a Class 47, i learnt them mid 70's they worked the Golden Arrow, Night Ferry (14 french coaches) and freight and did they go bang when the overhead line came down......

Cobalt Digital, i have 70 of them 63 installed they take there power from the DCC track and power the Frog from the same droppers, i have a Ramp Meter and power draw doesn't show until the points are operated, operate them from a Toggle switch and use pin 3 to also switch a normal/reverse points ind...

Wire them up to the DCC bus if you have one set to go into a siding and its a long way (in my case) 40' just use a accessory number on the handset to alter the points, you can also have a LED situated close to the point to act as a indicator as to which way the points are set, so there's less chance...
