Re: Kraggie Gorge cum Alesund
Hi guys, Been ploughing on with the track weathering, so much to do! I also have a mix of points, set track peco and hornby. Some are electro and others are insulfrogs ( think I can manage to wire them for dcc and insulating joiners on the frog bit). I know the distance between set track is 67mm but...

Re: Kraggie Gorge cum Alesund
Hi Guys, Don’t know where to put this. Out for a pub lunch with my boy today. In the sticks Norfolk. I did not know that Reedham had a railway swing bridge! That gave me an idea to model it for a loop on the high level part (when I get started) 🤔 It would be a challenge for me, not so for the season...

Re: Ballast
Hi Guys, Took some advice from SteveM, however, I went to pets at home and got this calci sand, to me, it looks about the right size granular at about 1mm. See photo. https://i.postimg.cc/dk72vSrC/1-F09-B89-D-3148-44-CB-848-E-A8-D6-A8070618.png Wondering how it will turn out and what are the views o...

Ballast
Hi Guys, Looking for a bit of advice on ballast, what material is used for ballast cheaply. I will have quite a large layout and ballast is quite pricey. I would like thoughts on crushed pumice and crushed walnut shell (possibly mixed) what grade would it need to be? I model in HO/OO gauge. I would ...

Thanks guys, noted about the transition piece of track from code 100 to 75. At the moment I have found 4 lengths of code 75 as I am weathering the rails. Thanks for the tip on where to use these tracks Bulleidboy, I have a area earmarked for them if I get short of code 100.

Thanks Guys,
Noted about the gaps, a bit of a tidy up needed, it will look better when all the rubbish is out of the way.
Cheers

Kraggie Gorge cum Alesund
Hi Guys, Oh my, been in the loft this afternoon after finishing my inventory of locos. After 7 years of doing very little, there is plenty of clearing up and adjustments on the ramp and high level. I know now that the spacers were too far apart  My word what a mess. I will post some photos of b...

Re: Hi Guys, back again after so many years
Hi Brian, I tried several times to register with the nickname Yojic, but I do have one or two iPad, iphone and PC so that maybe why, as they all have a slightly different ip address but on the same network at home. Never mind. Pity though as I have lost all the photos of the baseboard build and the ...
