ok,worked out how to get the motor out,and I have found another break in the black wire,my only question is now,is does that small brass tag go against the motor body?

Well Steve looks like i have sussed it,black lead loose on the side of the motor, now to suss out how to remove the motor!!! I’m not familiar with the innards of this model but a decent picture may help us find someone who knows how to do it. will do tomorrow Steve,its getting late and i dont want ...

it was the black lead on the side of the motor,resoldered,however,not completey fixed,if I run the wires from my 9 volt battery to the motor it spins,but if I put the battery directly to the wheels nothing

Well Steve looks like i have sussed it,black lead loose on the side of the motor, now to suss out how to remove the motor!!!

thanks Seve,i did do the 9 volt battery test,i put the terminals on the wheels,and nothing,so sounds like I need a multimeter,thankyou for your reply,Also Steve pickups to pub,what is the pub,probably not the ones I know about!!!! and yes it is dcc ready,21 pin type.

i hope im in the right topic area,i bought a Bachmann class 66,bachmann number 32-975,i bought it as a non runner,but hoping to get it going again,i have done the the 9volt battery test and sure enough,nothing,it is dc,all and I mean all wires are connected ,and none are broken,should I just send it...
