FYI re.ExpressModels.co.uk
It seems that Express Models at Loughborough have had a bereavement, I tried to call on Monday May 11th 2020 and there was a answering machine message to this effect and saying that trading would not be available for about 3 weeks and asking for understanding at this time. The website does not carry...

Keep accessory BUS signal Clean
Hi everyone, This question is for Brian. I have an accessory BUS split into 2x 16 ft lengths, on each of these I have 15/16 Dcc Concepts Colbalt IP Motors, recently replaced 6 motors that would not decenter, now some of the motors will suddenly switch direction all by themselves. I have checked all ...

Re: Running old locomotives on DCC.
I have converted Wren locos to DCC, you have to drill out a brush holder then insert insulation and new brush holder. It does work the problem is that you need a higher amp decoder, old locos draw more current on start up. John At YouChoos will supply decoder if available. The conversion parts were ...

Re: Prodigy Cobalt setup
Nikondium you have my sympathy, I too constructed a control board using DCC Concepts alpha D and have had exactly the same problems as you. At Brians suggestion I have kept in touch with the manufacturers and they are always very helpful but to date nothing has worked out. I have decided to abandon ...

Re: Help!!!! DCC concepts alpha problem
Thanks Brian, I have been in constant touch with DCC Concepts and although they are very helpful we are all guessing on thing or another. Their latest suggestion is to recheck the wiring from each alpha D switch unit to AEU from push buttons thru’ to final connection on the AEU. This I will do and t...

Re: Help!!!! DCC concepts alpha problem
Further info available, I can program first motor OK and it works ok (#51), when I program #2 motor it changes #1 to (#52) and of coarse #1 doesn't work. #2 becomes #53. I have tried disconnecting #1 motor and Programing #2 but this makes no difference.
