Re: New SQ11 Full HD Camera (1920x1080)
There's a slight problem - it's too wide for 009 track! Si my experiments will now be on open areas with no station platforms. More later

Re: Helping hands
I have one and in standard form it's pretty useless. It is so lightweight that attempting to touch anything its holding results in it moving away or falling over. It needs either a much heavier base or fitting with some form of clamp to hold it steady.

Re: Playcraft (Joueff) P10 tank loco
HI,
Thanks to both of you for the input, much appreciated. I will strip one down later when I have more time, for now external lubrication is about all Ican do. We have an Open Day coming up (www.broadlandmodelrailwayclub.co.uk) and I'm a tad busy!
Cheers

Re: Playcraft (Joueff) P10 tank loco
Thanks John, I still think its the gear train making the noise - there must be a couple more gears inside the chassis to take the longitudinal rotation to one at 90 degrees to the axles as well as the ones we can see. and there is no way to chip it to provide sound to drown out the noise. Re: Playcraft (Joueff) P10 tank loco
Hi John,
Here's a couple of pictures of the chassis. I personally suspect the noise is coming from the gear train more than the motor but if anything helps it'll be worth it.
Cheers

Playcraft (Joueff) P10 tank loco
Hi, I have acquired two of these little HOe/009 locos, virtually unused and they run quite well. However, despite a full service and lubrication they are horribly noisy and I have been told that they are "just like that". Does anyone have any experience of these and know of any way to quie...

Re: Cross-over wiring
SOLVED! The Peco 009 points do not have link wires from frog to switch rails, the switch rails are mounted onto a small metal plate shared by the V crossing rails so that wasn't an issue. I checked everything again and all my tests with the baseboard disconnected and up-ended were fine. I put it bac...
