I would never have thought of using cat litter, but I have used 'budgie litter' although this requires the removal of many, many tiny pieces of broken shells (from a beach, not an egg). The walls are done using card strips and coating in pva and then adding cat litter.

The late Allen Downes was a regular subscriber on this forum (the old forum). When you looked at his model buildings you were never sure whether you were looking at a model or a photograph of a building. I hope you find your book. Thanks but I'm certainly no expert I was a bit apprehensive to start with but the quality of the 3d print helps massively as the details are so crisp etc your only really filling in the blanks so to speak
