3.3v LEDs on DCC locos
Running 3.3v LEDS on a LAIS DCC controller function wire. Reading the manual suggests the function connection is the same voltage as the track, does anyone know the size of resistor to take DCC track voltage to 3.3v? I did have them working for a run before I fried them :roll: and they looked great ...

I have converted old locos to DCC with sound and ran them through a Hornby E Link. Once they are converted the older stuff is more sensitive to speed changes than newer stuff. A small change to the speed slider causes a large speed increase in the loco. Im sure there is probably some software config...

Yes went to Hattons and after some thought I purchased their £58 elink, lead and software deal.......I like it, works well.
I have now converted 2 locos to DCC one is very old and a bit temperamental the other is a new non DCC Thomas which works great!!!

I have exactly the same isssue, Hornby Thomas track with A,B,C,D extensions, one basic controller and linked tracks. Running one train is fine, running two and as soon as a train derails or more often than not if you change a train over you have to reset the controller. Its frustrating especially to...
