David Duggelby will be auctioning a collection of Ace "O" gauge and Wrenn "OO" locomotives along with a selection of Hornby-Dublo at Scarborough on Fri 12th Jan. The catalogue is on line showing cueent bids.

Have Dapol abandoned supporting or supplying the Black Box A4's. Other than smoke I can not find any reference to them on the Dapol site.

I believe that posts 8@9 offer the best long term solution and have voted sell. Hopefully you would agree to remain in an active role continuing to offer you undoubted expertise to less knowledgeable modellers like myself.

I started with the Gaugemaster Prodigy but within a year wanted to add visual representation of the track including point operation and be able to easily programme and operate loco's. Found a site member selling an ECOS Command Station about 6 years ago which is probably one of the best buys I have ...

I have 6 of the coaches and have had no problems in the two years running them on DCC. The only problem encountered was a reluctance for the coaches to remain on R2 curves.

Have you tried fitting a known good decoder into the unresponsive loco and the suspect decoder into a loco that works on DCC? Perhaps if funds permit a decoder tester would be a good addition to your toolkit.
