A very good idea. Thanks. I'm working on it. I put a small heat sink on the back of the LM317 and a car bulb as cheap overload protection.

I know that but that's all I had in stock this Sunday. This afternoon I built my own DC controller with one LM317 and a ON/OFF/ON two way toggle switch. It works very well.
