I'm not quite sure who "they" are. The UK site is specifically for UK customers. If you live outside of the UK you can still order from TCS in the US who will ship anywhere.

Re: dcc decoders

You could try TCS M1 decoders which were designed for N gauge or the Z series which were designed for Z gauge.

Re: Decoders for Hornby M7

See https://clarahost.clara.net/www.bromsgrovemodels.co.uk/hornbym7dccinstr.htm for fitting instructions. Actually easier to phone the UK telephone number at the bottom of the TCS website home page and order direct rather than going through the TCS ordering process at the moment as there are some ch...

Re: Any DCC decoders to avoid?

Have you looked at TCS prices recently? The DP2X-UK is now £20 and their 6 and 8 function 21-pin decoders are also £20. Basic T1 is a lot less than £20. Where did you see that? I can never find the UK site - all prices shown in $'s. Mod edit Malformed quote fixed. Rog. Go to https://tcsdcc.com/Zen/...

Re: Any DCC decoders to avoid?

I’ve used TCS decoders a lot and have always found them very good, although I did try Lais decoders because they were very cheap at the time and found they were very good also, I never had a problem with them..... We all have our own favourites. Hardly surprising seeing as TCS said years ago that L...

Re: Any DCC decoders to avoid?

As far as I am aware (and I have some very old documentation) TCS never offered a lifetime warranty/guarantee. The current TCS warranty states that Decoders, Motherboards, and Keep Alive® are covered under a ONE YEAR “goof-proof” warranty which covers manufacturer defects, burns, shorts, physical da...

Re: Any DCC decoders to avoid?

Zimo, Lenz, Esu, are all good. Zimo probably the best of the bunch, even their budget decoder is excellent and reasonably priced. And don't forget TCS who produce a wide range of decoders, including the direct plug DP2X-UK which is small and fits directly into the 8-pin socket so no wires, extremel...

Thanks Chris

However that is only a link to another website and I do not have any control of the content on that.

Can you tell me where, please? Save me a lot of time trying to find a single reference in hundreds of pages!

Re: Macros

You can "chain" macros; so rather than having two separate macros to execute individually you can link the macros together. It does require a bit of "reverse thinking", though! You first need to work out all of the instructions you want to use. Say, for example, you had 19 instru...
