Re: Hi everybody

Gumtree, Ebay, 2 possibilities. problem is , no one wants someone elses layout, other than to strip for bits. Gumtree prob your best bet. It wont sell as a layout on here, i dont think, even after 10 posts.

Steve, do you not also use the cloud. I run so much space per month, just in case.

Re: Bluebell Railway

Bit of sad news, Martin Miller, who ran Bluebell Line, for some time, died last week. He had moved on to another preserved line, and will be sadly missed. He was \sealink Manager Guernsey, when i was Marketing Manager for Sealink, Channel Islands Services.

Re: Hornby Price Rises - September 2024

my view was that they had limited stocks, nowhere near enough to supply retailers, so took initial provision on themselves. whilst making a lot of work, it did mean they kept control. the problem now, i am afraid, is the cost of the TT stuff, is matching 00, which i dont think was ever the intention...

Re: Moving house

Good luck with move Rob. Rather you than me. We looked at downsize, but legal and agents fees were about £20000. It was cheaper to engage a gardner, we felt, although we are dumping at tip each week. Need to sell railway, but not easy here in france.

BB, Brighton Belle. Every night at 19.00 from Victoria. Used to catch it , every Monday night. Treated myself to Toasted Teacake, and pot of tea. Did that for several years. I have the 5 car set in Blue/white. Wanted your colour, but got a very good deal. Also , have the N gauge 5 car.

Re: DCC and loco control basics

Elite, plus Selects on Walkabout cables. I have 3, means 4 people can happily play. Great for kids, as well. He/she can have her own loco and track area. Secondhand Selects available on ebay. You dont need a transfomer, as powered from Elite by special cable. Worth a look.
