Thanks for all the replies, and yes the one thing I hadnt done was to swap the cables (white and blue) so done that, and it came to life. School boy error. Great many thanks for the replies. I will look into this. It seems to be a good runner, I have tested on track, and a hornby railroad in both directions, seems fine.
