I recently purchased these 3 coaches by Poacher. Two are identically numbered, and the other (middle) is a mail carrier. I’d thought about hinging the section but I’ve made it impossible as one section; the upper tracks incline from left to right, lower tracks incline right to left, each pair of tracks would have to be hinged independently and as far as I can work out on opposite sides. Correct.

While I understand the benefits of DCC, at this time I don't feel these outweigh the disadvantages it would present for me.

If you still have the disk, and wanted a second opinion, I'd happily take a crack at it for you.

Your new backup solution seems very sensible. An SSD that is unpowered will theoretically last as long as the plastics etc, can survive bio-degradation.

SSD's are not normally used for long term bulk backups , particularly if they are left connected to the machine. The storage 'cells' in an SSD have a read&write lifespan, and once they fail, thats that, that cell is unusable. an SSD connected to a machine will read & write to the storage on ...
