Re: Expensive day

I feel your pain, I had both mine and wife’s car serviced last week! That made my eyes water and did think about selling a kidney, however I then thought I would sell one of my daughters! My thinking was that they are newer therefore would be worth more on the open market. I have to say though, she’...

Re: DCC

I have a backmann class 37 with a Hornby tt sound chip and it works fine, only small issue I had was getting it to run smoothly but after playing around with the cv’s it runs responsibly well. Sounds aren’t too bad, I ended up putting the speaker in the fuel tanks ( had to remove some weight). I use...

It appeared to be a problem with the pickups, I was always cleaning them to no great improvement. So sent an email to Bachmann ...

Re: Somewhere in Yorkshire

So, the next project is going to have to be signals. I would have liked to get proper working colour light signals however, looking at the cost of these is a bit prohibitive. I did get a Knightwing kit which were ok but can't seem to find their website anymore (don't know if they are still going tbh...

Re: New Layout - Patrick County Railways

Looking good mate, you seem to be making go progress. I know what you mean about the heat in the loft though, my old layout was in the loft and some day it was very hot up there. Ended up with a velux window which I could open, that made a massive difference.

Re: My new toy

I was never a fan of auto's until my wife got a new mini a couple of months back which is a duel clutch auto and now I'm totally sold on them. My next car will check be an automatic. As regards to electric cars, I think we are going the wrong way. I think the way to go would be bio fuels. These are ...

Re: Somewhere in Yorkshire

Had a play around with some more old coaches, they’re only loosely based on anything real. Just thought I’d give it a go see how it went. https://i.postimg.cc/p93c9X6K/03-DE0152-715-B-4-DC2-90-FC-4780-BB8-B2897.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/Mvw4bHKD/17-E3478-C-206-C-4-DEB-8-B00-A2-BF26379-E15.jpg https:/...
