Thanks Gents. I think you are right. One of the crossheads and rods are upside down. Well trying to move the slides out slightly from the driving wheels they snapped. Oh well back to Peter's Spares but they are out of stock. Guess it goes into mothballs till I can get a new cylinder assembly .

Watching an episode of Sams Trains, he had an old Hornby 0-6-0 flat out on 12 Volt and it reached something like 2 mph- a scale speed of 160 mph That's a leisurely walk speed. He increased it up to 50 volts and it went quite a bit faster. Not sure if the loco survived
