Hi I have paint my tracks also. I use a mix of orange, rust and dark earth for the rails and ties. The sleepers I use a paint called sleeper grime.
I then dry brush the sleepers with a touch of white to emulate the old weathered sleeper affect.

Evening I thought I would share some more pictures of my small running plank. I'm pleased with the way my Wills crane kit looks on the layout. Thank you Chops, I don't know the answer to your hattons question but I can say there own brand of P Class and Andrew Barclay locos are very very good.

Hi I have managed to progress a little further on the platform structure and fixing a small square base which will be for the yard crane.
The yard crane was built up last week but today I completed the painting and weathering.
