Hi I have paint my tracks also. I use a mix of orange, rust and dark earth for the rails and ties. The sleepers I use a paint called sleeper grime.
I then dry brush the sleepers with a touch of white to emulate the old weathered sleeper affect.

Evening I thought I would share some more pictures of my small running plank. I'm pleased with the way my Wills crane kit looks on the layout. The ballast has been completed and will be weathered up as the plank progresses. The platform area has been painted and I managed to get the concrete affect ...

Thank you Chops, I don't know the answer to your hattons question but I can say there own brand of P Class and Andrew Barclay locos are very very good. :D

Hi I have managed to progress a little further on the platform structure and fixing a small square base which will be for the yard crane.
The yard crane was built up last week but today I completed the painting and weathering. :D
