I must admit a Nile cruise would be the only type I would ever consider, but that's only because the ancient Egyptian history has always held a fascination for me. Cant see me doing it now at my age :(

It not age but whether you can manage it. I was behind a lady in the queue at the post office last August getting some Euros. Very old lady in front of me, turns out she was 91, says can you change this UAE money for Vietnamise Dong. Didn’t spend as much as I thought in Dubai and I’m flying out next Wednesday. I couldn’t believe it.

Sorry to bring the tone down

But the Sphinx's posterior orifice
Is filled with the sands of the Nile
Which accounts for the hump on the camel
And the Sphinx's inscrutable smile

Ted.

Shamefully remembered from schooldays!!

Agreed Brian. Karnak?

I have been twice, once for the cruise but the first trip was staying on the main corniche in Luxor. Fabulous place. We did the trip to the Valley ofthe Kings on midsummers day - quite warm. :D
