I also like SCARM simulator which lets you run a train round your plan to see if it actually works. Many of my perfect plans just did not play properly, so they were modified or dumped.

Thank you for the above posts as this is my next step-if I ever get there (most rooms have been decorated-re-carpeting the stairs and hallway tomorrow- not me, (I fall down and need help to get up), fitters).
A question you may be able to answer is, will SCARM require the set radius part numbers?

Re: SCARM v Anyrail
The 50 piece limit on the free Anyrail can be overcome by working a layout out on basis of say 4ft long boards, with each board being a separate 50 piece maximum plan.

SCARM has all the track libraries so you pick and place a track element by make and piece part (i.e. part number or radius/length)mijj wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 2:33 pmThank you for the above posts as this is my next step-if I ever get there (most rooms have been decorated-re-carpeting the stairs and hallway tomorrow- not me, (I fall down and need help to get up), fitters).

Thank you, that is what I needed to learn before I start.
It seems that I'm indispensable indoors at the moment as memsahib is going through a "change everything" mode .
Jim.
