Steve M wrote: Thu May 02, 2019 7:29 am You would think that an LED bulb would be fine in a lantern wouldn’t you?
I tried them in a lantern fitting that was activated by a dusk sensor ie switchess on when it gets dark, but as the unit tried to switch on it would flash like a demented lighthouse. Went back to a normal energy saving bulb and the problem went away.
Never did work out why they reacted like that.
Sounds like you were unlucky Steve. Most others thought they worked fine. Dont worry Steve you are not the only one, as the old joke in our house is, why do we always get the one which has to be returned faulty.
If only there was enough hours in the day..................John

I’ve replaced all my bulbs with led bulbs but didn’t even have one flower from any of them must have been the wrong compost or lack of watering
