Looking at the side back door of your new car MG it looks as if it was made to fit another model. They found hey had loads left over, so they made them fit the next new version.

Oh. I live in the house in the picture above near the cars.

I found out that these cars have the same underneath and floorplan as the Smart 4. The spare wheel cover thing has a Smart symbol on it.
It does have letters and numbers under the numberplate. On the picture I found out how to paint yellow over it. (Wasn't easy). It saved me from painting the car to do it, as it would take ages to get the paint off if I did. The car normally is kept in a locked barn to keep it safe and dry. It gets dusty so I sometimes put a cheap car cover over it. Was one of those covers which tends to be useless if used outdoors.
The back door seems to fit ok. It works well.

I know what you mean about dusty MG. Our Cottage is in the middle of fields in all directions in a small lane. The nearest village is 1. 1/2 miles away, so we are surrounded by dusty fields if it is windy. It makes it waste of time washing the car. But we would rather have the views of open country and the hills than live in a town.

My brother cuts wood inside the barn which can leave a layer of dust.
I took the car on a nice drive and it reminds me of a class 37. It is a lovely vehicle to drive. Though it is a manual, it requires so few gear changes in the variable Welsh roads that it feels more like an automatic in that there is less to do. It is great in this way. Distance driving is not as tiring as one may expect. It is nice. I had lunch in Aberaeron and drove north for a while, and then came back down. A lovely day.

I did a little work on Mitsi today. Not a lot. Just removed a small amount of rust and pained some rust treatment on so I won't get any issues to the underneath of the car in future years. I will paint over the rust treatment soon. Probably tomorrow if the weather is dry and nice. I will need to get the right colour paint for her to do the little bits on the body where I can see small amounts of rust starting to show like the edge of one of the doors. Catch it now and it won't be a problem in the future.

That is fair old run MG it's up near New Quay isn't it.

I actually went up much further that day. New Quay is lovely. It is about 15 miles south of Aberaeron. I often visit New Quay in the colder months (E.g. winter) as I tend to avoid crowded areas. I went a few miles above Machynllech that day. Not sure what the area is called but we stopped for a break on a mountain pass where there is a layby. I climbed up part of the mountain where I sat for a while. I saw people right on top of the opposite mountain.
My nearest town is Llanelli.
It is interesting in that if I head in the Cardiff direction and start to drive around there I am a little on edge, and I get this crossing over into England and beyond at times. (Actually most of the time though there are some lovely places). However, I get the opposite when I head north towards Mid and North Wales. I feel free and alive. It is hard to describe.

The area where I live is said to be the new "Costa Del Sol" and quite a lot of rich people seem to be buying as many properties as they can at very cheap prices. I am not really sure what they mean by Costa Del Sol except that the area may change. I don't like change. My local town is like walking through a foreign place as it has changed. It is not that shops come and go. It is the whole street systems have changed as new developments have altered the area. Couldn't they have kept the buildings and streets as they were and developed them? It would have been so much easier for me!

We know the area quite well MG. We used to live in the Brecons a couple of miles north of Onllwyn which I expect you know. Not far from Abercraf.
