Glamping is the latest name for the next step up from camping. Google Glamping, and all will be explained. You can hire often wooden built small buildings nice surroundings which are quite well fitted out and certainly better than a tent.

The word Glamping is derived from the words Glamorous Camping. A good and cheap form of accommodation. If you like that sort of thing.

There is a ‘glampsite’ next to Ropley station on the Mid Hants Rly and as a regular visitor I thought I would check the prices - eyewatering!

We had a glamping site attached to the lodge park where I live - until the camping licence ran out. He had Yurts, a pallet hut and a railway wagon house. All very ‘glamorous’, but it tended to attract large groups of noisy weekend party goers, so it had to go along with the caravan site bit.

i have 2 acres here, ideal for glamping. Could do with a bit of glamour. Bring your own tent.

My camping, caravanning etc. days are long gone. Give me a hotel (preferably at sea :D ) everytime.
