I am only to pleased we live now in one of the most peaceful parts of the country. The only thing which spoils the morning is the sound of birds in the garden, and we don't have any people for miles, let alone thugs.

My ‘new’ house is a town location and just happens to be on a route to school short cut so we get lots of kids going to in the morning and fro in the afternoon, but no hassle at all.

There is one family in the street which I shall label as ‘council house’ - apologies to all other nice council house people. I was a product of a mining village slum clearance into council housing so well aware of blah, blah.

Moral of the story - no agro to date and not expecting any.

Anybody would think that the whole country is in a state of revolution. Like I said before anything that happens no matter how big or small is in our face within seconds. I’m proud to be British and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Its so sad that so many threads get turned into moaning threads about the British by the doom and gloom brigade.

An interesting read. I have to laugh at the journalism though. "A gang of schoolboys (pictured)" No! that is a pixelated picture of blocks, Why bother!
And the Lord said unto John “Come forth and receive eternal life”, but John came fifth and won a toaster!

Pandering to the PC brigade, I reckon.
In contrast, I am a member of a joint police/council organization to document crime and anti-social behaviour in our local area. Admittedly it’s an accredited members only thing but we have no restrictions on publishing photos, names etc regardless of age, sex or religion.
Quite refreshing really. :)
