I remember the crash at the Nurburgring, and both of the comebacks that led to his second and third World Championships. Never one to suffer fools gladly, if you wanted the truth you went to Niki.
I had the honour of getting to sit in his championship winning McLaren from 1984 when it was being displayed at Brands Hatch.
He will be missed.

Sad news - I remember reading awhile back that he was not to well. If you've not seen the film "Rush" it's worth viewing - as Steve M said, he did not suffer fools lightly. RIP.

The annual ‘courtship dance’ with airlines, hotels and car hire has begun.

The hotel chain has been holding back the release of its 2020 rooms for some reason - an e-mail inquiry said they were holding on for Black Friday but they are now available. I will hold on until BF just in case the price drops - the room is about 80% more than last year!

Good news on flights though, SqueezyJet have dropped their prices - last month they wanted £120+ for the return flight, today it’s only £20.
Too good to pass by so the flights have been booked tonight. :D

It's nice when you've booked the flights and have a note on the calendar - something to look forward to. I'm keeping an eye on BA at the moment for tickets to Tampa for next May - they have just had a sale but the tickets were £100 more in the sale than they are normally, so I didn't buy - condo is already booked.

I reckon we've both been doing this so long, we know what the prices 'should' be and wait for the right moment to strike.
I now have three 'dates in the diary' for next year, nothing exotic but looking forward to them all the same.

That's this years trip to Spain over - spent all day processing a photo or two!
One example from the F1 testing:

I did take the opportunity to visit France for the day - this is an absolutely superb fishing town in the Catalan region of France - Collioure
