Very nice jaz. May I ask why you don’t just remove the base from the figures?

I have removed the odd base, but many of my figures are really old Airfix dating back to th 1960s, they were gifted to me, and the plastic is somewhat fragile, one or two splintered when cutting so I prefer to keep them intact, and it is easier to move them around and make new scenes. I could insert thin copper or such for mounting, but the only one I tried damaged the model, I also lost a foot from two different figure models where the plastic was thin, so I' found that off putting too. I use Copydex glue for figures without bases to sit on the layout successfully, which can then be pulled off if 'i move them elsewhere, but in general I leave the bases on. Especially on rarer items,

Scooby doo. Figure. I used an old Airfix animal (a large cat), and I tend to face it so you see the back the overcoming not having the 'proper' face, i could trial it with green stuff, but so far have not. Other 'Scooby figures.

You need a small atmospheric area for them, a church graveyard, or an abandoned looking area. The film crew were a set I picked up.

If you're intending to move figures, I can recommend Tacky Wax. A small amount on the feet or base is enough to hold them firm, but allows for easy removal and replacement. The small tub really does last for ages.

Oh yes you are right tacky wax is better, I forgot it, I have a red plastic container somewhere, but it is awol and Lord a lone knows where, as it has been awol for a year or two and has failed totally to just turn up. Thank you for the reminder, I think i may bite the bullet and buy another. Red, how can you lose some thing so bright...sighs

Glorious. When I saw 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' photo, I could bear the music (soundtrack) in my head. I'll have to rewatch that film. I love your slice of life scenes and use of sharp and blurred focus. Very inspiring.
