As a kid in the early 60s I biked it or got the N2 from Palmers Green to Wood Green station to see the A4s,A1s, Deltics etc. I saw Madoqua and Nyala B1s so often I hated them. Will one day get the models after saving up some pennies.
Anyway, sometimes I went to Palace Gates which was on its last legs and am thinking it would be a simple first attempt at my end to end layout. I have seen lots of photos but can't find a 1950s map.
I have tried "Old Maps UK" but it comes up modern. Does anyone know of a site where I can get this?
Thanks
Rob

Re: Palace Gates
Thanks Wtd and Roger,
Having spent most of the morning searching I stumbled on "bowesandbounds" and a 1944 schematic map of the whole site so along with photos on the Disused station website I should be able to plan an acceptable layout.
Thanks again, it's funny how you can keep searching over and over, change one letter or word and a whole different number of leads can appear.
One happy man

Re: Palace Gates
Thanks bb, that will add additional details together with the other maps.
It's coming together, detailed 1935 map on National Library of Scotland, can magnify down to points and tracks, might not have enough room but will do as much as I can.
I think I'm there now.
Thanks again.
