You certainly have a collection of interesting books there Glen. When we moved we got rid of 2 bookcases of similar reading just dont have the space for them any more. But there is something about books I like but tend to read them and pass them on and dont keep them any more.

I must say it does make my mouth water a little when I see some books all stacked up on the shelf. Start picking out the ones have not seen, but I am going to stick to my guns and not get another book case they went to Salvation army few weeks ago. Tempting as they always are. ....... John

I’d probably rather buy a book than a loco, particularly when I end up in Foyles in London.

When the ***150 series first came out (in hardback) I was going through a spell of 'cashflow problems' so I had to give them a miss. They later came out in softback but good ones in hardback were around at the same time so I went for them. I got them all fairly easily except LNER150. It took the best part of 3 years to find that one in hardback

The LNER was the last one I managed to get.

I was only interested in the LMS and LNER. books.

My favourite books on railway modelling are Historical Railway Modelling. by David Jenkinson, Narrow Gauge Adventure by P D Hancock, and three books about Buckingham Great Central. by Rev Peter Denny.

I thoought Foyles had closed? Used to love wandering around that rambling place many years ago when I lived on London.

Wasn’t closed the other day. Has been taken over by Waterstones but the shop is alive and kicking in Charing Cross Road. Saw one in Birmingham yesterday. :)
