I've built a Metcalfe double track viaduct (P0241). I'm doing something a little different with it - a row of houses on the top with a narrow road and underneath the arches (yes it's a song!) I'm going to have workshops etc. including a welding bay.
Has anyone done anything similar and what ground surface did you lay please? Did you add doors?
Any thoughts ideas will be most gratefully received.
Thank you.

Re: Railway arch workshops
I have done the basic arch - no workshops etc. and I find wet and dry at around 320 grit gives a reasonably realistic road like surface. Hope that helps a bit. R-

Great ideas, thank you.
Roger, do you use 320 grade wet and dry for all of your road surfaces?

Re: Railway arch workshops
I do. It is a recent discovery for me. I think it gives a quick and easy method to lay a flat, reasonably realistic and easily weathered surface. Might be a bit too smooth and pristine for a workshop area. R-
