I am not normally a Sun reader but this caught my eye when scanning the front pages. According to the Sun the police say it is legal!!!

Wiring up the handle to a shed door should give the crims something to think about

I'm not sure about the legality of the idea, but I suppose the would be thieves are hardly likely to complain. R-
Young at heart. Slightly older in other parts.

Great idea. Only flaw, with my memory I would forget to turn off the power and be the one getting zapped

Don’t you believe it Roger.
Every shoplifter I have ‘helped’ on their way has cried ‘not fair’ or words to that effect. They believe it’s their right to thieve, then physically force their way past security but God help you if you try to stop them.

But I had a chance to use one of my favourite film lines on Saturday. I was in the process of stopping a guy entering the shop - he’d been causing trouble in the town all day, assaulting the public. He got a bit ‘argumentative’ so I said ‘say hello to my little friend’ stepped to one side and my assistant guard stepped forward and flattened him. Police arrived and arrested the troublemaker shortly after.
