I have made things more complicated due to creating so many sections I can isolate.

So, to the main event.

The black wires are the return to DC supply. All complete, joined to power source.

The red wires go through the section isolators, from the DC supply and then onto the track. Switches are wired and screwed down. All sections are wired. Just need to join the terminal strip from the switches to the sections. I have run out of wire, so buying some more in the morning.

Power supply has had its wire put through the board to help tidy things up.

It works!!!!!!!

All connected up, just one wire connected the wrong way round in a switch, quick rewire, and it works. All sections isolate as planned.

Next step, fit levers for points, then scenics can start.

Point control complete.

I have found a dead spot, the joys of insufrog points. A quick solder tomorrow will solve that.

Forgive the pun, but really chuffed with myself, a complete novice making something that actually works, mostly.

My layouts (Sovereign Street and Lybster Station) are of a similar vein and (to me) are great fun to operate.

I bought the Eurostar for the track, the loco was a bonus. It runs smooth, and is in decent condition, so will be sold on at some point.

I have been playing with a possible design for hiding the controls of my layout. With a little playing in MS Excel, and some screenshots I have come up with this as a possible warehouse, in a half relief type configuration.
