RSR Engineer wrote: Tue Aug 20, 2019 10:19 am Sorry, I don't quite follow. Are you talking to me, Brian (Site Admin), or to Brian 1951? In my case, the old layout is being incorporated into the new one. The work is documented on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/53775591@ ... 3670264075.

As for Brian1951, I'm sure he'll be enjoying as lot of well-deserved job satisfaction. Also, I wonder if those display cabinets are home-made? They certainly look very professional.

Cheers,
Artur
Yes Artur the the display cabinets were constructed by me, i built then from some spare baseboards, i will now convert them back to baseboards again.

Image The attached picture is a scene im going to build as a showcase diorama in 7mm, i would be interested in your thoughts of the minimum width of baseboard i could use to keep the scale as accurate as possible. The standard gauge track in the picture is a good guide to work out the total width needed to accommodate the scene from the extreme left of the house to the far side of the platform. My calculations vary slightly, working on 7mm to the foot, i would appreciate your ideas. Thanks Brian.

The answer to my question, the width of the above scene is 60ft. So my baseboard width will be 7 x 60.
