I recently found my Dads old train set, looking for help in identifying it. He says its a Hornby 00. His Mum, my Nana, got him it in the 50's.

Re: Help identifying train set.
Hi
Firstly bin the old train controller. Its not safe! It has lost its overload lamp hence the hole in the case and without it being inspected and tested by a qualified electrician (not worth the testing money!) then its possibly lethal.
The locos and wagons are all Hornby Dublo three rail. As is the track sections. Sell them on ebay.
The Kits of the two locos will almost certainly be OO scale. Are all the parts of each kit present? Anything missing makes it very hard to sell.

Thanks for that.
I know a couple of sparkies, I'll one of them to pat test it and see if the lamp can be replaced.
As far as I can tell everything is present in the kits.
Thanks again, i didn't have a clue.
