Something must be wrong, two updates in three days.

Openings have been cut for two and a half loading bays on one side of the warehouse, and a staff entrance on the other.

Tightened up a point that wasn't too happy.

Did a dry fit in situ, doesn't look to bad. There will be a second angled section to finish the roof.

Next steps are to finesse the cut openings, and tidy the cuts up. After that, construction begins.

I've been having some dangerous thoughts.

I have some usb powered led strip lights somewhere in my cupboard of mystery, it shouldn't be too hard to make a shroud to floodlight the side of my warehouse.......

This may not end well.

More progress. We have a roof.

The main structure is now complete. Next steps are to add cappings of some description to the roof joins, fill and sand back the joins of the 40 thousandth pieces, then prime it.

Then sign making, door making, lighting, other detailing and anything else that occurs to me.

The primer grey is a decent match to buildings near here, so will put a few coats on, and the main colour is done. Possibly do some lines in a highlighting colour to break up the sea of grey.

Is it wrong for 'playing trains', to end up progessing something?

Started with having some shunting practice, and decided to see if a non runner 08 I recently acquired could be salvaged. Hence picture one.

After a bit of a strip down, the pick up, on just the centre axle only was a mess. Cleaned, and sort of runs now. The other 08 I have of a similar vintage has pickups on the front and back axles. Some modifications may be required.

Anyway, it runs, but sometimes needs a little push to get going. Soooooo....... pictures two and three. It maybe a sledgehammer to crack a peanut time.

Practice has started on the filling and sanding using milliputt. Waiting on it to go off on a practice piece, then will sand back and paint it to see how it goes.

If everything goes well, then it will be reproduced on the main building.
