Well Steve i cut the roof to correct shape, then it needed a gentle curve on it, so as usual i placed it on the Rayburn to heat it a touch and the phone rang, the rest is history. :oops: But the second attempt worked :)

I as about to suggest that the coffee stirrers may have been a better choice for the planking - then I checked the original and saw they would have been too narrow.
Looking good Brian.

Can I suggest you try Halfords white primer with a couple of washes of black to create the characteristics of weather worn, ‘silver’ wood?

One side nearly done, when it sets i will distress it a bit with a blade, then fit the metal work. Eyes are sore now.
