This is the rough trackplan of the old Royal Ordinance Factory in Pembrey around WW2 or thereabouts. The lower left area is all narrow gauge. The rest of the map is all standard gauge. The lower right shows the tunnels with platforms and rooms in them which still survive today. Very little information is to be had about the locomotives and stock which ran on the site because it is still classified information (As the site was still in operation after WW2 for decomissioning the masses of bullets etc after the war. The site was turned into a country park in 1975. The south beyond the boundary fence is all a long beach.
The upper middle area is a mix of standard and narrow gauge. One needs to follow the individual tracks to see which is which.
The access in WW1 days was via a line over what is now a golf links which was later a byway open to all traffic and went to Burry Port... But later WW2 access shown here went directly to the Great Western Railways main line near Lando Halt in Pembrey.
