Yes, that sort of thing, but I want it with its wheels on in a goods yard with a goods shed and or platform. Did they have pallets in the days of steam ?

That one had wheels originally.

The patent for the pallet we know today was filed in 1938.

No it’s a ready to run van. I did a bit of railway modelling and cut the doors out. :)

You’d better have a lie down after that. :D

Gramodels do a resin cast LSWR van with one side door modelled open.
https://www.gramodels.co.uk/docs/GRA_Se ... ochure.pdf Look for page 10
Without digging my example out of the loft, I can't confirm whether it comes complete with axleboxes, buffers etc., but the body is a single piece moulding, although you have to provide wheels.

There have been a number of model vans with opening doors, Here are a few -

Airfix / Dapol Meat Van with cupboard doors - kit
Airfix / Dapol Cattle Van with cupboard doors - Kit
Airfix / Dapol Interfrigo van with plug doors - kit (HO scale) ( https://www.dapol.co.uk/shop/model-acce ... its?page=3 )
Airfix LMS van with sliding door, ready to run, tools passed to Mainline, and then to Dapol
Hornby Fruit Vanwide with double sliding doors (1968 version) ready to run
Hornby Ferry Van large sliding door ready to run

There are also a selection of van kits made originally by Parkside Dundas which are now part of the Peco range which can be adapted. Peco also sell Ratio van kits. These may require modification during assembly.

The original Triang / Hornby Freightliner containers had opening doors at one end.

The ready to run vans with opening doors tend to be over scale for strength.
