Does anyone have one of these Woodland Scenics Mini-vacs? I have one, but can I get it to "vacuum" - no way, it just sucks it in and blows it out through the vents. There are two sets of vents, one of which has tape stuck across it, and in the instructions it says "Do not remove the tape" - which I have not.
To my mind it really is a waste of time. Any ideas?

Re: Woodland Scenics - MiniVac
There is a YouTube video called Man Cave which reviews this vac.
It seems to have filters in the tube which stop the material passing through the vac.
I have not seen the whole video, SHMBO appeared with job sheet in hand !

I have one. The tape on the underside where the light is stays in place. Be sure you put in the round mesh screen. It doesn't have a lot of suction. About enough to pick up stay static grass, but not much else.

Many thanks for your advice. I'll watch the YouTube video and see whether it throws up any help. I have the mesh filters in place. BB
Re: Woodland Scenics - MiniVac
I just bought one of these and it had no extra mesh filters in the box, the dealer check all his stock and none of them had any, he said they have probably stopped supplying them now.
I ended up making my own
Must admit it's not a very impressive bit of kit, thankfully it's not overpriced unlike most WS stuff

Mine had two wire mesh filters - I might try putting both in at the same time. There are cheaper battery operated vacuums on ebay - may end up going that way.
