hornby cl 47 (r863)drive bogie repair
Hello to all,I have a cl47 drive bogie that i need to remove the motor and wheels to do a repair but am unable to dismantle it as there are no screws or clips etc as i can see.Has anybody done this and is there a special tool or something i need to do it ?Thank you

looked at link on sevice sheets and the 2 screws hold the current collectors in place on the motor frame but dont release the motor etc.i feel that the bottom plate (under the axles) needs to be removed to allow access from under the motor.i feel that a tool is reqd to remove this plate.Thanks anyhow and i will keep investigating.its good having access to the service sheets.

No specialist tools are required to work on locos unless you include a gear puller. Things either unscrew or unclip.

Thanks for that info,i will have to look closer,there are two lugs on the under frame one each end but i cant seem to move them.used a small bladed screwdriver but they dont appear to move,oh well will try again but i dont want to damage the fixings
