…..but I have finally got my Heljan 61xx looking how I like!
She has had the boiler side moulding lines removed, BR emblems replaced, Severn Mill plates, a crew, tank lifting hooks, Youchoos sound added and a darn good weathering.
I had also fitted much improved tank filler caps but was then informed that they were the wrong type for 6106 so I had to refit the original ones that came with the model, cut a couple of bits off and make some high tech, top spec, very expensive, fastidiously planned screw handles (I bent up a staple and cut it to size).
I am now very happy with how she looks. At last

Oh, Dr Beeching what have you done?
There once were lots of trains to catch, but soon there will be none!

Looks really good particularly like the 'dribbles' of things leaking or split

Your efforts are just fine Steve. I've not had an airbrush for weathering so I get by with other methods.
Panniertank. You have an amazing eye for detail and so much patience!

one of the best looking models I have seen in a long time, much admiration and a certain amount of jealousy

Top shelf. I had to look twice to see if it was prototype or model.
