Fixed or portable?

If fixed, then any Ply thickness from 6mm up will do, so long as its braced well underneath.
Portable about 9mm thick is about the maximum as weight then becomes the governing factor.
Always try and obtain the best quality ply you can afford. Ideally Birch or Marine grade.
