I decided to update my desktop to w10, but as i had not updated the hardware since i built the PC about 12 years, i decided to buy a new bundle motherboard, when the courier arrived he had two boxes = 2 motherboards @ £250 plus
I contacted Amazon and immediately returned the unwanted parcel for a refund. This was the 27th Nov 19, i was told i would be refunded as soon as the supplier informed them it had arrived back at the supplier. this was the end of Nov, on 48hrs return delivery , Amazon then said the money would be in my account in the next 2 - 3 weeks.
As i was in Oz & New Zealand from Dec 10 until 27th Jan '20 i was not in a position to chase up the repayment, but kept checking for the payment which never arrived.
This week i contacted the supplier and they confirmed they had received the returned goods and informed Amazon on Nov 30th that the goods had been returned.
EVENTUALLY I managed to get through to Amazon by phone, after difficulty with the language barrier i have managed to secure my repayment after 3 months.
I anm sure if i had not phoned them i would not have got my money back!!!
Amazon returns
Re: Amazon returns
On the other hand, I returned two items over Christmas and Amazon refunded me in full in 48 hours.

Re: Amazon returns
I've not had to return many Amazon products, but when I have they've refunded very quickly and it has been a smooth process.
I've also returned to Premier Man on a number of occasions and each time it was a painless process.

Re: Amazon returns
Only returned a couple of things to suppliers via Amazon and had refund within 24 hours of suppliers receiving the items.
Nurse, the screens!
Re: Amazon returns
I think the issue might be the supplier agreeing that the item has been returned properly [within the time frame and actually recieved] if they require that. I've just had a refund after about 8 e-mails querying progress with no return of the item. It took about 4 weeks. R-

Re: Amazon returns
I needed to return an item to Amazon. Their return procedure was to in-put a code and generate a label but only some post offices had this facility. Using my post code to find the nearest PO did not look helpful. However a quick check proved their system out of date. Label was printed out and item posted locally-at no cost to me .
