can anyone advise which are the best models or kits for a station, i have searched on e-bay and most of them are from abroad like germany, china etc

Metcalfe card kits are my favourites.

They are good although I prefer laser cut or ready to plant resin. The Gaugemaster kits are good but may not suit some locations as I think many are based on old SR designs.

Depends how much work you want to do. The laser cut products are extremely good.

My post is gibberish - the GM kits are OO not N. Have a look at Kestrel kits instead.
