Post by greatwestern »

Hi,

Can anyone please advise what kind of volt / amp meter I can install on my DCC layout.
Had one on my older anolouge layout but have been told it will not work correctly on DCC

Probably the most well known meter for DCC is the RampMeter. DCC Concepts have a new meter of their own design called the Alpha meter https://www.dccconcepts.com/product/alp ... dc-or-dcc/

Ordinary AC V & A meters will not give true readings.

As suggested a RRamp meter or the DCC Concepts offering are the only true means of reading A & V in a panel mount

RRAMP meters are a tad pricey though. This bare bones one was around £50
